The Associate will have significant experience in interior architecture and design management across hospitality, F&B, spa, and large-scale hotel developments. A passion for creative excellence and a deep understanding of both design and project delivery are essential.
Working closely with the Principal in Charge, the Associate establishes the overall design vision and ensures continuity throughout each project’s lifecycle. They will lead and mentor project teams, maintain and develop client relationships, and take responsibility for the creative, operational, and commercial success of their studio.
The Associate will also collaborate with colleagues across G.A Group’s global network—including residential, architecture, product design, and branding divisions—to promote integrated, holistic design solutions under our Resonance model.
Responsibilities
Design & Creative Leadership
- Establish the overall design direction and ensure design integrity from concept through to completion.
- Guide Senior Designers, Project Managers, and FF&E teams to ensure design continuity and alignment with the client’s brief.
- Communicate design intent clearly to clients, consultants, and the internal project team.
- Review design presentations and deliverables to maintain quality and creative excellence.
- Translate design concepts into schematic and technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Lead internal and external design presentations as required.
Project & Commercial Management
- Oversee multiple projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Prepare and manage project contracts, including allocation of fees, schedules, and resources.
- Monitor project profitability and fee expenditure in coordination with the Finance team.
- Review invoices and billing schedules to ensure timely payment and financial accuracy.
- Manage project risk, compliance, and quality assurance throughout all phases.
- Attend and chair project reviews to track progress and resolve design or delivery issues.
Client & Business Development
- Act as a senior point of contact for clients, maintaining strong and trusted relationships.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and nurture repeat client partnerships.
- Support the preparation of new business proposals and presentations.
- Represent G.A Group externally to promote the studio’s reputation and capabilities.
Studio Leadership
- Provide day-to-day management of the studio, ensuring smooth operations and a positive working culture.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Manage recruitment and resource allocation in coordination with Directors and HR.
- Conduct annual staff reviews and support career development plans.
- Ensure compliance with G.A Group standards, health and safety, and operational procedures.
Coordination & Documentation
- Oversee coordination between interior architecture, FF&E, and external consultant teams.
- Ensure all project documentation meets G.A Group’s standards of quality and consistency.
- Review drawings, specifications, and schedules for accuracy and code compliance.
- Monitor and approve timesheets, supplemental service requests, and change orders as required.
- Ensure all project communication and deliverables are managed effectively through Deltek and internal systems.
Experience & Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent qualification in project management is preferred.
- 1-2 years of demonstrable relevant project management experience– ideally in a high-end design or architectural firm. Please note that this is not a design role.
Skills
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD is essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities
- Project specific documentation: Prepare project documentation as instructed by the client’s commercial and project management team.
- Variations: Prepare VO’s, price and assist in the negotiate process for the successful approval of variations and additional fee bids.
- Project Reports and Programmes: Prepare and maintain project reports and programmes.
- Resource management: Prepare and update project resource plans on the ERP system

Working alongside the Associates and Senior Designer Project Managers, the Senior FF&E Designer is responsible for FF&E delivery of all of a specific project from concept to completion. Role Profile
As a Technical Services Manager (TSM) based in Reading, you will be assisting in the production of Building Services MEP Designs for tender by our supply chain, and the installation of Building Services on site. This includes responsibility for day-to-day management of the services-related project elements and responsibility for managing multiple projects at different stages, simultaneously from an MEP perspective.
Responsibilities
- Leading projects from their inception, ensuring designs are completed on time and in line with a client’s budget
- Organising the production of MEP performance specifications to RIBA Stage 2/3 for the supply chain to tender on a D&B basis.
- Develop specifications, drawings and & schedules.
- Carry out building surveys/appraisals and produce reports and recommendations for existing and/or new MEP services including BMS controls.
- Assist & advise the Estimation, Pre-Construction, and Design teams with key issues, problem solving, identification of risk, and budgeting of MEP services.
- Input into, and Evaluation of Sub-Contractor tender bids and design documentation.
- Assisting Sales in pitching projects and putting together MEP information for client presentations.
- Chair MEP site meetings, offer technical advice, and monitoring of sub-contractor progress.
- Review and Approval of Sub-Contractor technical submissions and drawings.
- Attend, and chair where appropriate, meetings with the client, the designers, specialist contractors and other team members.
- Assisting the Project Manager with void closure and periodic MEP inspections / sign off’s where required.
- Prepare commissioning programmes and manage the commissioning process where required.

Role Definition
Job title: Architect
Reporting to: Partner of the current project on a day to day basis and ultimately to the Senior Partner
Salary: $85000 - $125000
Location: San Francisco
Responsibilities
- Understand the design project
- Prepare, and develop where required, drawings, models, images and other documents relating to the design
- Assist where required in the co-ordination of the internal design team
- Take responsibility, where required by the project leader, for specific areas of the design and project development
- Liaise, where appropriate, with members of the external design team and other associated organisations or companies
- Seek, and record evidence of, continuing professional development (CPD) and an annual Personal Development Plan (PDP) in accordance with the requirements of the RIBA (or equivalent as applicable e.g. AIA, National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB))
- Thorough knowledge of and compliance with Foster + Partners procedures and standards
- Equity, diversity & inclusion (EDI) is a core priority. To support and champion the embedding of this focus as a collective workforce responsibility, EDI should be integrated, where relevant, into all workstreams
- Contribute, or otherwise assist, as required
