Role summary

This is a key role to manage projects in line with the Foster + Partners BIM & Design Systems Strategy across multiple Studios. To coordinate projects team(s) across Studio(s) which include technical upskilling and mentoring. Responsibilities

  • Support the Studio Lead(s)

      Job Responsibilities:

       

      Project Design and Coordination (65%)

      • Assist KPF design teams by leading the development of design strategies and metrics regarding sustainability, resilience, and wellbeing

      • Prepare, run and interpret analysis and simulations for: Climate data, solar radiation, daylight availability and glare, energy use for early design models, outdoor/indoor thermal comfort, and embodied carbon of construction systems

      • Develop presentation materials to communicate building performance and sustainable design concepts to KPF design teams, consultants and clients

      • Research and document environmental design solutions and precedent projects, and prepare best practice case studies for internal/external use

      • Assist in the certification (BREEAM, NABERS, LEED, WELL) of projects

                    What We’re Looking For


                    We are looking for passionate visual storyteller and problem solver with an eye for beautiful image, who
                    understands both the technical craft and the emotional impact of digital imagery.


                    • A strong eye for composition, light, mood and detail
                    • An understanding of spatial design and architecture
                    • The ability to interpret, elevate and amplify design intent
                    • Proficiency and enthusiasm for in AI-enhanced image generation workflows
                    • A proactive, collaborative and curious mindset
                    • An aptitude for problem solving


                    Technical skills should encompass:


                    • 3D Modelling: 3ds Max, Blender, Rhino, SketchUp
                    • Rendering Engines: V-Ray, Unreal Engine, Twinmotion, Enscape, D5 Render
                    • Post-Production: Photoshop, After Effects
                    • AI Tools: Midjourney, Runway, Firefly, Veo
